This is my approach to represent visually the words of the legendary argentinian writer Julio Cortázar. With the participation of the sound artist Jorge Haro we created a humble hommage to Cortázar.
Representing time in a visual way is something I approached from pure instinct and with some keys such as decomposition, re-emergence or advancement. The stop motion technique seems to me perfect in itself to represent the passage of time.
Jorge Haro is an artist working with sound, among other media, for many many years. He is a Spanish-Argentinian and works from Buenos Aires and Madrid. Such connection with Cortázar and the fact that he is a true artist made this collaboration a dream come true for the studio.
Working with Jorge Haro give me the idea of including some references to classic album cover to allow him to work on top of that with the sound.
Working with animated texts is always a big joy for me. Trying to recreate visually the words of the legendary Cortázar's voice was really relevant to this project.
